“La Cascadelle”
La Cascadelle is a living sculpture and fountain that embodies the delicate balance between humanity and nature. Conceived and built over nine months, it consists of 20 unique “flowers” cast from a blend of slag and oyster-shell concrete — materials chosen to merge industrial and organic origins. Designed as a refuge for local wildlife, the piece invites vegetation to take root, allowing nature to gradually complete it. From the side, its lines appear straight; from above, only curves — a quiet metaphor for coexistence. On view in Hyères during the 2024 Design Parade, La Cascadelle stands as both a technical and poetic experiment, a call for harmony between human creation and the living world.
